Getting there. An airport shuttle runs between Ostend Airport to Bruges for 5 EUR. Taxis cost approximately 10 EUR directly to New Astoria Hotel. Ostend train station, one kilometre away, links the town with the rest of Belgium.
Getting around. Ostend is compact and easily explored on foot. Taxis and buses line up in front of the train station. A catamaran terminal departs for the Dover channel. A tram operates from Ostend down the 66 kilometre long coast.
