Mercure Hotel Koeln im Friesenviertel is a seven storey modern hotel situated in a popular district of the city with many lively bars and restaurants, 200 metres from Friesenplatz metro station. The 103 guestrooms feature modern wood furniture and earth tone decor, and include cable television, Internet connections, direct dial phones and minibars. Driving Directions

Train number 13 runs from the airport to Cologne central station. From here underground trains run to Friesenplatz, which is 200 metres from the hotel. Taxis are also available outside Terminals 1 and 2 and fares cost around 25 EUR. All transport facilities (bus, tram, tube and the RE (Regional Express), RB (Regional Bahn) and S (S Bahn) trains) can be used with compound tickets which are issued by the Verkehrsverbund Rhein Sieg (VRS). Train only tickets are also available. Ticket vending machines at Cologne's train stations issue both kinds of tickets. At tram/tube/bus stations, only compound tickets (VRS) are available.
When driving from the airport, take the motorway A59 in the direction of Cologne city centre (Zentrum). Follow signs to Parkieitsystem Ringe. At Friesenplatz drive into Magnusstrasse and then into Albertusstrasse, which is the second street on the left. Turn left again onto Friesenstrasse.
