The Mercure Severinshof Koln hotel is a four storey property set in the centre of Cologne, 50 metres from the S Bahn station and within 1.5 kilometres of the city's shops, the historic old town and the museum district. The 253 air conditioned guestrooms feature light decor and modern furnishings and open onto balconies. Amenities include wireless Internet connections, cable television, direct dial phone, clock radios, minibars, complimentary newspapers and bathrooms with shower/tub combinations.
Active guests can work out in the fitness centre and afterwards unwind in the sauna or top up their tans in the solarium. The colourful, modern restaurant serves regional and international dishes and overlooks the terrace, and the bright, modern bar serves drinks until late. Those with laptops can plan sightseeing itineraries via wireless Internet (surcharge) access, and newspapers are available free of charge in the lobby. Business guests can enjoy access to nine meeting rooms with a capacity of 200 people, and a range of services are available in the business centre. Other amenities include dry cleaning services, a gift shop, safe deposit box and room service. Those arriving by car will find a parking garage on site. Those with an interest in modern art can visit the Ludwig Museum, 1.5 kilometres away, which houses a collection of 20th century works by artists including Warhol, Lichtenstein and Picasso. Those with families can enjoy close encounters with more then 500 species from around the world at the zoo, three kilometres from the hotel. Cologne Bonn Konrad Airport is 16 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
Renovation Notice:
The hotel is scheduled to undergo renovations throughout August 2007. During this time, guests will have to use the side entrance and the reception desk will be temporarily relocated beside the restaurant. No estimated completion date is available at this time.

Driving Directions
|

Regional and high speed European network trains serve the airport. Taxis are readily available outside Terminals 1 and 2 and should cost approximately 25 EUR. Airport shuttles are available to/from Cologne and Bonn every 15 minutes during the week, and every 30 minutes at the weekend. Take the 170 bus to Dom/Hauptbanhof and change to S Bahn line 3 or 4 and get off at Severinstr. Alternatively, take bus number 132 from Hauptbanhof to Severinstr. The bus stop and S Bahn station are both 50 metres from the hotel. All transport facilities (bus, tram, tube and the RE (RegionalExpress), RB (RegionalBahn) and S (S Bahn) trains) can be used with compound tickets issued by the Verkehrsverbund Rhein Sieg (VRS). Train only tickets are also available. Ticket vending machines at Cologne's train stations issue both kinds of tickets. At tram/tube/bus stations, only compound tickets (VRS) are available.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the A59 and change to the A559, heading towards Koln. Exit at Severinsbrucke.
