Part of the amazing Mines Resort City outside of Kuala Lumpur, the Mines Beach Resort and Spa is a perfect getaway for business and leisure travelers in this bustling city in Malaysia. Strategically located, the resort is just a 20 minute drive from the city centre and 35 minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The magnificent Mines Resort City sprawls over 1,000 acres of what once was the world's largest open cast tin mine. A true city unto itself, the Mines includes various hotels, restaurants, a shopping center, convention center, business park and entertainment wonderland. Water taxis traverse the serene waters of a 150 acre man made lake within the City into various canals that link the Mines Beach Resort and Spa to these other facilities.
Highlighting its Asian architecture, the resort and spa showcases richly carved wooden beams and panels with Malaysian motifs, enchanting artifacts and tasteful furnishings. Sitting on the shores of the lake, the resort surrounds a fully sand bedded swimming lagoon set amidst verdant greenery.
Guests can relax and unwind at the resort's Zen Spa, which offers a variety of services for both men and women such as massage, foot reflexology, anti stress and facial treatments and aromatherapy. The spa also includes Jacuzzi, cold pool, sauna and steam rooms, mini theatre and reading lounge.
The Mines Resort and Spa offers a total of 178 well appointed guest rooms, including 47 picturesque chalets with a panoramic view of the lake. The hotel houses many restaurants, including Cheng Ho Court Chinese Restaurant, a fully "Halal" dining facility serving Cantonese cuisine; Abdul & Charlie's, an all day restaurant serving Asian fusion food; and the Beach Hut, a sports bar showing live telecasts of local and international sporting events. The hotel also provides numerous meeting rooms for conferences, weddings and banquets.
