The Imperial Hotel has a large glass entrance and is set two kilometres from the central square Jemaa El Fna. The 114 guestrooms have rich fabrics and ornate furnishings. All are complete with satellite television with premium channels, safes, air conditioning, Internet connections and balconies.
Guests can escape the afternoon sun in the health club equipped with gym and sauna. Outside, the pool is the centrepiece of the 'paradisiac' garden, a grotto/oasis complete with palms, cabanas and loungers. Come the evening, guests can make their way to rooftop terrace bar, sip a cocktail and watch the sun set over Marrakech. The Le Mont Royal Restaurant offers extensive buffets with local favourites such as tagines and pastille as well as popular international dishes in colonial style surroundings with views of the pool. Guests can explore the new city of Gueliz 500 metres away, stroll in the Menara Gardens one kilometre away, and pick up a bargain at the Souk markets two kilometres away. Bus 11 runs to centre of Marrakech every half an hour although services can be unpredictable. There are taxi phones in the arrival and departure lounges and taxis can be caught near the bus stop. It is recommended to agree the price before commencing the journey. Expect to pay around DHS 200 to get to the hotel.
