Location. The Meryem Hotel is a city hotel located in Marrakech, Morocco in the Gueliz area, three kilometres from the main square. The Royal Theatre is situated 100 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. This hotel features a Turkish tearoom, Tichka, and a lobby with fireplace and television where coffee is also served. There is a health spa onsite with a sauna and Turkish bath, an indoor swimming pool with poolside bar and a children's pool. Childcare services are available (surcharge).
There are two restaurants at the Meryem: the Menara, serving Moroccan dishes; and Ambassadors, serving international dishes. Guests wake up to a complimentary breakfast served daily.
Secretarial services are available to business guests of the hotel.
Guests can get involved in aerobics classes on site and the surrounding area provides opportunities for golf, ice skating, horse riding and jet skiing.
Guestrooms. All guestrooms are air conditioned and feature balconies. Standard amenities include satellite television, minibars, direct dial phones, safes and refrigerators. The bathrooms are equipped with hair dryers and bathrobes are provided. The decor in the guestrooms is Moroccan with wooden furnishings and warm, red fabrics.
Expert Tip. Majorelle Garden, three kilometres from the hotel is the perfect spot to escape the noise and dust of the city. The garden is home to more than 15 bird species exclusive to North Africa, as well as an Islamic art museum.

From Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK):
Distance to Meryem Hotel is 6 kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Two types of taxi are available at the airport: shared taxis (Grands Taxis) can seat six people, and private cabs (Petits Taxis) are for up to three passengers. The fare to the city centre should be approximately 50 60 MAD, and should be agreed in advance. The number 11 bus runs every 20 30 minutes to Djemma El Fnaa square, in the city centre. Services can be unreliable. The fare for a single journey is about 3 MAD. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Marrakech city centre is best explored by foot, as cars are unable to reach many of the narrow lanes in the Medina. Sand coloured Petits Taxis can be used for short trips, and Grand Taxis are ideal for trips further afield. Horse drawn carriages are a good way to travel around Marrakech, but the price should be agreed before travelling. Buses are regular and inexpensive, but can be overcrowded.
