Location. Nora Beach Resort & Spa stands along the white sand beaches of Koh Samui, Thailand's, third largest island. Named after the traditional dance of southern Thailand, this resort is located two kilometers from downtown Chaweng. Samui Airport is positioned five kilometers from the resort.
Hotel Features. Complimentary buffet style breakfasts include bacon, eggs, fresh fruit and freshly baked breads. Royal Thai recipes that have been handed down through the generations highlight the menu at Prasuthon Restaurant. This restaurant also serves a variety of European and fusion cuisine. The pool bar and beach bar prepare sandwiches and salads that staff delivers poolside or to prime locations beneath the palms. A picturesque stream begins its journey in the hotel lobby, eventually cascading over natural boulders that border the freeform style pool. This outdoor pool is the scene of southern Thai dance performance, cultural displays and a floating market. Anodas Spa offers treatments that draw on centuries of Asian healing practice. Ytsara holistic spa programs and therapies are based on organic principles and ingredients. European spa treatments are also offered. A fully equipped fitness facility offers the assistance of personal trainers. Complimentary property amenities include wireless Internet access and transportation to Chaweng Beach.
Guestrooms. The resort's 113 villas reflect a harmony of Thai style and modern amenities. Villas include traditional Thai silk furnishings and dark timber floors that contrast with warm wall colors. Rooms include refrigerators, minibars and coffee/tea makers. Satellite television and DVD players are provided. Private bathrooms feature bathrobes and slippers. Accommodations offer pool, garden or ocean views from balconies or terraces.
Expert Tip. A highlight of this resort are the regularly scheduled beach barbecues. As the sun sets, freshly caught fish are prepared at ocean view grills, where this celebration of the sea continues under a canopy of stars.
Gala Dinners:
The hotel hosts a gala dinner on December 24 and December 31, 2007. Guests are charged for the dinners regardless of whether they attend. Fees for the dinners are collected by the hotel at check in.
